(Skysports) Reports in Morocco claim that Real Betis are pondering a move for Sochaux schemer Jaouad Zairi.
The Moroccan international is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in African football and was one of the stars of the recent African Cup of Nations.
The 22-year-old scored two goals and was the creative hub for Morocco who were ultimately beaten in the final by hosts Tunisia.
Newcastle United were reportedly also monitoring Zairi but cooled their interest after missing out on qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
